Students who are personally aware and responsible have a sense of self-worth and a growing confidence in a variety of situations. They value themselves, their ideas, and their accomplishments. They are able to express their needs and seek help when needed, find purpose and motivation, act on decisions, and advocate for themselves.
In such a busy time there are many skills that have been lost to children today. Being able to learn fiscal responsibility, cook, clean, and care for themselves is essential to becoming a well-rounded adult who is capable of caring for others. Children need to take responsibility for their environment so that they learn to respect and appreciate what they have. Before you can take care of others, you must be able to care for yourself.
Integrity is revealed when people act virtuously regardless of circumstance or consequences.
All people should have the right to learn, work, and advance on the basis of merit and ability, regardless of their race, sex, color, religion, disability, national origin, or age.
We are a nation founded on individual rights and liberties. Understanding where this country came from is paramount to shaping our country’s future.
Knowledge is power. Knowing our true history is just as important as knowing what we need for the future. By tearing down statues and deleting unfavorable moments in history, we are setting up our children to repeat the mistakes of the past. We learn from history what worked and what didn’t work. People are not perfect, and mistakes have been made, but if we learn why those mistakes were made, then we also learn about their consequences and how we can shape our future.
